Vision Grant Awards
The New Mexico Organization of Nurse Executives (NMONE) sponsors grants that advance nursing knowledge and support the NMONE strategic plan. The strategic plan can be found at this link and thus examples of appropriate projects would be:
- Effective Patient Care Delivery Models
- Nursing Leadership
- Creating Positive and Healthy Work Environments
- Patient Safety
Proposals from all aspects of nursing (acute, ambulatory, rehabilitation, home health, etc.) that address these strategic areas will be considered. Proposals may be part of an individual’s academic course of study or a research study or quality project undertaken by a nursing unit or department of nursing.
Award Amount: The number of awards and the award amount will vary depending on funds available. Awards are one-time grants; applications for the same project will not be considered for consecutive year funding.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be practicing nurses in the state of New Mexico and be willing to present findings at the NMONE Annual Meeting if funded.
Application Requirements:
- The completed application form.
- Letter of Proposal (not to exceed 5 pages)
- Must reflect the NMONE strategic goals
- Must include specific, measurable outcomes and how they will be evaluated
- The project must be sponsored by an NMONE member (if applicant is not a member)
- The project must not exceed one year
- Ability to present findings at the NMONE Annual Meeting if funded
